All of the kinetic sculptures are made up of Copper, Brass, Aluminum, or Stainless Steel. The copper pieces are patinaed with either chemical or heat-induced rainbow of colors and sealed with a state-of-the-art exterior clear coating. Many pieces are made of recycled materials . LaPaso spends hours digging in scrapyards, looking for just the right junk. "... then I have the wonderful experience of transforming them into something new." All of my kinetic sculptures use space-age plastic bearings for generations of outdoor use. These bearings never need to be oiled and are impervious to salt water. In fact water actually lubricates them.
